Chess Suite / Getting started

Activate and manage your software license

Connect this WordPress installation to your purchased Chess Suite access.

Find the license for this product

  1. Open Licenses in SloopStack Account. Choose the license associated with your Chess Suite purchase and review its status and website activations.
  2. The software license controls Chess Suite access and eligible updates. It is separate from membership plans, dues and player applications on your own chess website.

Activate this website

  1. In WordPress, open Chess Suite → Subscription. The screen is titled Chess Suite Subscription. In Add or replace a license, enter your License key.
  2. Use the license server supplied with your download; the normal SloopStack service is https://account.sloopstack.com. If the field is already fixed, leave it as supplied. Select Activate subscription.
  3. Read Current Access after activation. Check the reported plan, status, validity information where shown, and the final characters of the key. Open a feature included in your plan to confirm access.

Refresh or move an activation

  1. After renewing or changing a plan, use Check licence & updates. This refreshes access and update information; it does not install an update.
  2. When moving to another domain, review the activation allowance in your account first. Deactivate the old installation when appropriate, then activate the intended domain. Do not deactivate a working production site just to troubleshoot a separate staging site.

Resolve an activation problem

  1. Confirm that the key belongs to Chess Suite, the order is associated with the expected account, and the domain is correct. Copy the displayed error and check whether the site can reach the license service.
  2. If a feature remains locked, compare it with the features in your plan. Send support your installed version, domain and error text. Never include a full license key in a public screenshot.
